A journey to Guadalajara: promotional diary of the World Congress of Dermatology wcd2027 (issue 2)

Durante los últimos tres meses, los integrantes del comité del Congreso Mundial de Guadalajara wcd2027 y sus embajadores emprendieron un recorrido vertiginoso alrededor del mundo, participando en una serie de eventos dermatológicos con sus actividades promocionales.

En marzo, el wcd2027 brilló con su presencia en la Academia Americana de Dermatología (aad). El colorido stand promocional fue el escenario para el debut de la mascota Amigo. Numerosos visitantes se acercaron al stand del wcd2027 para tomar fotos y conocer más sobre el Congreso.

El punto culminante del evento fue una magnífica recepción de coctel liderada por el presidente del wcd2027, Jorge Ocampo Candiani; la secretaria general, doctora Mariel Isa, y el presidente de la Liga Internacional de Sociedades Dermatológicas (ilds), Henry W. Lim, con la participación de figuras clave en el campo de la dermatología. Los invitados pudieron respirar el ambiente de Guadalajara a través del canto del mariachi (figura 1a-d).

Abril fue un mes lleno de eventos en México, Chile, Kuwait y el Reino Unido. En la Ciudad de México, los doctores Sonia Ocampo y Daniel Alcalá presentaron el Congreso en la Academia Mexicana de Dermatología durante el Congreso Internacional de Terapéutica Dermatológica.

El 11 de abril, en Santiago, la Sociedad Chilena de Dermatología y Venereología (xv Congreso Chileno de Dermatología y Venereología) presentó el wcd2027 con destacadas presencias como el presidente de la ilds, Henry W. Lim, y los doctores Hassan Galadari y Giovanni Pellacani (figura 2).

En Kuwait, el Departamento de Dermatología del Hospital Jahra celebró la elección del jefe del departamento, el doctor Muhammad Al-Otaibi, como embajador del wcd2027 representando a Medio Oriente y África (figura 3).

El mes de abril concluyó con la reunión del Comité del Programa Científico del Congreso Mundial (spc), celebrada en Londres el 26 de dicho mes. La reunión, presidida por el presidente del spc, el profesor Lars French, y el vicepresidente, Manabu Fujimoto, desempeñaron un papel clave en la definición del programa científico del Congreso que se celebrará en 2027 (figura 4).

Mayo comenzó con el doctor Sheeraz Ahmed Dawach, embajador del wcd2027 y miembro del Consejo Asesor de la Asociación de Dermatólogos de Pakistán (pad), promocionando el Congreso en la Conferencia aams en Islamabad (figura 5).

Over the past three months, wcd2027 embarked on a whirlwind tour around the world, participating in a series of dermatology events with its promotional activities.

In March, wcd2027 shone at the American Academy of Dermatology (aad). The colourful promotional stand was the stage for the debut of the mascot, Amigo. Numerous visitors came to the wcd2027 stand to take photos and learn more about the Congress.

The highlight of the event was a magnificent cocktail reception led by wcd2027 president Jorge Ocampo, secretary general md Mariel Isa, and International League of Dermatological Societies (ilds) president Henry W. Lim, with the participation of key figures in the field of dermatology. Guests were able to breathe in the atmosphere of Guadalajara through the singing of mariachi (figure 1a-d).

April was an eventful month in Mexico, Chile, Kuwait, and the United Kingdom. In Mexico City, doctors Sonia Ocampo and Daniel Alcalá presented the Congress at the Mexican Academy of Dermatology during the International Congress of Dermatological Therapy.

On April 11th, in Santiago, the Chilean Society of Dermatology and Venereology (xv Congreso Chileno de Dermatología y Venerología) presented wcd2027 with notable presences such as ilds president Henry W. Lim, doctors Hassan Galadari and Giovanni Pellacani (figure 2).

In Kuwait, the Department of Dermatology of the Jahra Hospital celebrated the election of the head of the department, doctor Muhammad Al-Otaibi, as wcd2027 ambassador representing the Middle East and Africa (figura 3).

The month of April concluded with the World Congress Scientific Programme Committee (spc) meeting, held in London on April 26th. The meeting, chaired by the spc chairman professor Lars French and vice-chairman Manabu Fujimoto, played a key role in defining the scientific programme of the Congress to be held in 2027 (figure 4).

May kicked off with doctor Sheeraz Ahmed Dawach, wcd2027 ambassador and advisory board of Pakistan Association of Dermatologists (pad), promoting the Congress at the aams Conference in Islamabad (figure 5).
